Pressure Cooker blast guts property worth millions

MORANG, May 28: Property worth one million rupees was gutted by fire that broke out after a pressure cooker exploded while preparing meal.



The incident occurred at the house of Prem Nidhi Tiwari at Biratnagar Sub-metropolis Ward No. 10 after the pressure cooker exploded and the cooking gas cylinder nearby caught fire while preparing meal at around 8:30 pm Monday.



Property worth around one million rupees was damaged in the incident, stated District Police Office, Morang.



Locals and police brought the fire under control with the help of fire engines last night itself.
