President-elect Bhandari quits party, parliament

KATHMANDU, Oct 29: Newly-elected President Bidya Devi Bhandari has announced that she has quitted all positions of the CPN-UML from Wednesday.

Issuing a press statement after being elected as Head of the State Bhandari said she quit the party and the House to maintain dignity of the presidential post and perform duties assigned by the constitution.

Bhandari has further thanked all for helping to elected her to the post.
