DHARAN, Feb 8: The preparations for the 21st International Invitational Budha Subba Red Bull Gold Cup football tournament have been completed.
The organizers of Dharan Football Club announced at a press meet on Thursday that the tournament will start from Saturday and will run till February 16.
The tournament will be played at Dharan Stadium in Dharan.

“The preparations for the 21st edition of the tournament have been completed as the participating teams have been confirmed,’’ club’s President and All Nepal Football Association’s Honorary Senior Vice President Kishor Rai said. “We want to make this edition of the Gold Cup a special one.’’
A total of eight teams are taking part in the tournament which includes A-Division League teams Sankata Club, Nepal Police Club, Manang Marshyangdi Club along with Mechi Netralaya Kakarbhitta Training Center, Sahara Club, the host team Dharan Club and two foreign clubs Cameroon’s Dauphins Football Club and Calcutta Football League’s four-time champion Dalhousie Athletic Club.
The winner of the tournament will take home a cash prize of Rs 800,000, while the runner-up will be rewarded with Rs 400,000.
Likewise, the best player of the tournament will get a Honda’s Dio Scooter and the highest scorer will earn Rs 35,000. Also, the best goalkeeper, the best defender, the best midfielder, the best forward and the best coach will receive Rs 25,000 each, while the man of the match of every match and the rising talent will bag Rs 15,000 each.
