KATHMANDU, May 5: Deputy Inspector General of the Armed Police Force (APF) Narayan Dutta Poudel has been recommended for his promotion to the post of Additional Inspector General (AIG).
Although two posts were lying vacant for the post of AIG, the Home Ministry has recommended only Poudel for the promotion to the post based on his seniority. The two positions of AIG fell vacant when APF AIG Raju Aryal was promoted to IGP and another AIG Ram Sharan Poudel retired from the service.
Five DIGs recommended for promotion to AIG
A meeting of the promotion committee at the Home Ministry on Wednesday recommended Poudel for the promotion. The recommendation was made as per the Rule 39 (1)(A) of the APF Police Regulation, 2072 BS.
The dissatisfied DIGs can file their complaint at the grievance hearing committee within seven days after promotion as per the Rule 55 of the Regulation.
