KATHMANDU, March 12: Nepal Police has taken 1294 motorbikes into its control in Kathmandu valley as youths drove into the street defying laws during the Holi festival on Sunday.
According to SP Ganesh Airee at the Metropolitan Commissioner's Office, 694 bikes are released after imposing fine and taking their documents by traffic police while 596 bikes are still under police scanning.

According to SP Airee, Police took 173 boys and 9 girls are taken into custody on Sunday for their unruly behavior on the street while 21 boys from Lalitpur and 17 boys from Bhaktapur are taken into custody.
According to SP Airee, the Metro Control is coordinating with three ranges in three districts and traffic division within the valley. According to Airee, 1200 police personnel are deployed on the streets and there is no big clash or accident reported so far.
