Police's social campaign trickles into villages

BHIMDUTTANAGAR, Sept 11: The 'Police is my friend' campaign launched by Nepal Police to prevent social degeneration and maintain peace and security has gained momentum in Kanchanpur. 



The police recently launched a host of program including 'Service with a smile' to upgrade its service standards in face of growing complaints and dissatisfaction among the public. 



The campaign is currently in effect in all 75 districts of the country and has made tremendous impact in the rural sector of Kanchanpur. The District Police Office (DPO), Kanchanpur has been collaborating with various social organizations to reach out to the nook and corners of the district. 



The campaign is being run across the country with support of schools and social organizations in the communities to transform the police force into citizen friendly institute, curtail crime, accidents and social defects, and maintain peace and security in all the districts, Kanchanpur's Superintendent of Police (SP) Tulasi Adhikari said. 



On Saturday, Area Police Office, Jhalari launched the campaign at Kalagaudi of Dukhatbhuli VDC – 4. 



Police Inspector, Sudam Rawal, said the locals have been sharing their problems and grievances with the police during the campaign's door to door program. RSS
