Police rescue abductees

KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Police rescued three persons taken hostage by a gang from Kumarigal on Wednesday.



A team from Metropolitan Police Sector Gaushala freed them after raiding a manpower agency´s office where the three persons kidnapped from Chabahil were kept and being battered.



According to the police, Rajendra Gurung, Gopi Dhungana and Dipak Kumar Khadka of Dhapasi who are said to have been associated with Abroad Study Link Consultancy were kidnapped by a group of people who had come on motorcycles.



Meanwhile, police arrested Arjun Chhetri, Raju Lama and Sujan Bhujel for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping. A pistol was recovered from them.
