Nineteen-year-old, Bijay Kumar Mukhiya, of Ekahariya VDC-3 of Mahottari district was arrested on the charge. [break]
Mukhiya has been accused of attempting to rape a local woman on Tuesday evening when she was in a local pond to wash her clothes, said Police Inspector Netra Bahadur Baruwal.
Local residents had rescued the woman after she called for help after Mukhiya attempted to rape her.
