Anita Tamang, 35 of Dandakharka-4, Makawanpur and Pema Lama, 35, of Namtar-6, Makawanpur were detained from Darechowk VDC-4, Chitwan in accuse of smuggling rhinoceros horn on Sunday.
They were on their way to Kathmandu, Chitwan police chief Dhiru Basnet informed.
The horn looks artificial as the alleged smugglers have covered the horn by melting the plastic pipe.
They are in police custody and the police have intensified the investigation.
