Police arrest Kadel for demolishing fence of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium

CHITWAN, May 30: Police have arrested Prakash Kadel of Chitwan for his involvement in demolishing the fence of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium which is under-construction in Bharatpur.

CHITWAN, May 30: Police have arrested Prakash Kadel of Chitwan for his involvement in demolishing the fence of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium which is under-construction in Bharatpur.  


A group of locals led by Kadel had demolished the fence of the stadium with bulldozer on Tuesday. Acting on a tip-off, Police arrested Kandel, a local leader of ruling Nepal Communist Party, from Bharatpur last night.

With the obstruction from the locals including Kadel-led group, the Dhurmus Suntali Foundation has suspended the construction of the project.


Earlier, police had arrested 15 persons on the charge of demolishing the fence of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium which is under-construction in Bharatpur.
