POKHARA, April 12: The Western Regional Hospital in Pokhara remained tense on Sunday after a patient died during treatment.
Padam Raj Kandel, 35, of Lekhnath-9 died while undergoing treatment at 1 a.m., on Sunday. He had a throat infection and was admitted to the hospital on Thursday.
Kandel’s relatives have encircled the hospital demanding compensation for the victim’s family and action against the doctors involved in the treatment. The relatives have alleged that Kandel died because of the doctors’ negligence. They have also refused to receive the dead body.
