PM to visit India after New York

KATHMANDU, Sept 7: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai on Wednesday told Indian ambassador Jayant Prasad that he would make an official visit to India after returning from his trip to the 66th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.



Bhattarai expressed such views responding to the request from the Indian envoy during a meeting at the prime minister´s office at Singha Durbar.[break]



“Responding to the request of the ambassador, the prime minister said he would arrange a visit to India after he returns home from New York,” the prime minister´s wife Hisila Yami told reporters.



Bhattarai is leaving for New York either on September 17 or 19 and will return home on September 24.
