PM to meet ruling parties Saturday

KATHMANDU, Dec 25: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has decided to call regular session of parliament only after holding consultations with the ruling parties on Sunday.



Prime Minister´s Press Advisor Bishnu Rijal said the prime minister is likely to meet President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Sunday to recommend the latter to summon regular session of parliament. [break]



Major parties on Thursday had agreed to prorogue the special session of parliament, which was prorogued on November 19, at the earliest possible date.



“The prime minister is moving ahead in the spirit of the consensus,” said Rijal.
