The prime minister is inducting ministers close to him and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal after the Mohan Baidya faction of the Maoist party refused to join the government. Previously, he had allocated four ministries for the Baidya faction.
The new ministers to be inducted in the cabinet from the Maoist party include Dinanath Sharma (Education), Kalpana Dhamala (Science and Technology), Ram Kumar Yadav (General Administration), Lokendra Bista (Tourism and Civil Aviation), Bhim Prasad Gautam (Land Reforms and Management) and Satya Pahadi (Peace and Reconstruction).
Simiarly, Sirita Giri, the chairperson of Nepal Sadbhawana (Anandidevi), will also join the government as cabinet minister representing small parties.
"The prime minister is still working on the name of the ministers," said Yadav told Republica late Monday night.
He further said that the prime minister is also inducting a few state ministers from the Maoist and Madhesi parties. The Madhesi parties had long submitted the names of the state ministers but the prime minister had resisted appointment of the state ministers.
The oath-taking ceremony of the new ministers has been scheduled for 9:30 am Tuesday, according to Yadav.
The prime minister had not been able to expand the cabinet for the last two months due to the feud in his party.
