KATHMANDU, May 25: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged the Muslim community to observe the Eid al-Fitr festival by adopting precaution measures to be safe from COVID-19.
In his message on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr, PM Oli added that such festivals are the identity of national unity, mutual goodwill and tolerance. He further said that the multilingual, multi-religious and multi-ethnic country Nepal has such cultural assets and they help lead the nation towards prosperity.

PM said that unity, goodwill and tolerance shown by keeping national interest, social justice and territorial integrity were strengthening the nation.
Likewise, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has urged all the members of this community to apply health precautions to be safe from COVID-19 while observing this festival. In a message today, he said that the Eid festival would enhance our unity and mutual goodwill.
Similarly, Chairman of National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina has expressed the confidence that this festival would help promote brotherhood, friendship, social goodwill and unity among diverse Nepali communities. In a message today, he also urged the Muslim community to maintain physical distance while observing the festival, abiding by the government appeal.
