KATHMANDU, Feb 13: The Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli accused leaders of a rival faction within Nepal Communist Party (NCP) of trying to oust him from power for their personal gains.
Addressing a mass gathering organized by his faction of the NCP in Butwal on Saturday afternoon, Prime Minister Oli said that leaders of the Dahal-Nepal led faction of the NCP are trying to oust him from power for their vested interests. “They sought my resignation from the post of Prime Minister and the party’s Chairman. I asked the reasons behind this. The answer was simple. They said we also want to be a PM and chairman of the party,” said Oli, while adding that they did not want to build the nation.
