KATHMANDU, May 11: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the Jayanagar-Janakpur railway has been expedited to enhance the connectivity between the two countries.
Speaking at a program organized in Janakpur today, PM Modi said India has been supporting Nepal in its development and will remain committed to connect it through waterways, highways, railways and transway as well.
“We are also trying our best to connect Nepal with waterways so that Nepal will be able to export Nepali goods abroad. If done so Nepal will be able to reap benefits through international trade,” said Modi.

Modid further said that India is atop of satellite technology in the South Asia. Nepal will be benefitted by it, he said. He also suggested five Ts as a development mantra for Nepal – Transport, Trade, Tourism, Tradition, and Technology. He expressed commitment to help Nepal exploit this mantra for the entire development of Nepal.
Meanwhile, Modi pledged 100 crore Indian rupees for the construction of Rayaman Circuit.
Modi, who is in Nepal on a two-day official visit, said that Indian government is always supportive of ‘Samriddha Nepal, Sukhi Nepali’, a development slogan introduced by Oli-led government.
Modi also congratulated Nepal for being able to hold three levels of elections during this speech.
