PM India visit from Oct 20

KATHMANDU, Oct 16: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai is paying an official visit to India on the invitation of his Indian counterpart Dr Manmohan Singh from October 20, Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayankaji Shrestha said in a statement on Sunday. 



Shrestha, who is also a deputy prime minister, some other ministers, parliamentarians and senior government officials, will accompany the prime minister during his four-day visit.[break]



Bhattarai will also meet Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and Vice-president Mohammad Hamid Ansari besides holding a bilateral meeting the Indian prime minister.



The foreign ministry said Indian union cabinet ministers and political leaders will also call on Bhattarai during his stay in New Delhi. 



In addition, Bhattarai is scheduled to visit a development project site in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.
