However, these days the PM is seen riding imported jeep on more occasion than the Max that won him much accolades.
PM Bhattarai was found riding the Indian made Scorpio jeep produced by Mahindra Company during his visits to Dhadhing, Tanahun and Gorkha on Friday.
PM Bhattarai, who reached Badbhanjyang of Tanahun, along with his wife Hisila Yami, to inaugurate Purandihi Primary health Center, rode Scorpio jeep with the registration number Ba 1 Jha 9346.

Some locals took the jeep´s photos still believing that the vehicle was the headline-hogging Nepal made Max.
A source close to the prime minister said that Bhattarai stopped using Mustang for long journeys as its engine gets heated up in a short time and has problems with its brakes.
“The brakes of the Max produce acrid odor during long journeys that makes the prime minister vomit. So he began using the jeep for long journeys,” said the source.
When the prime minister was visiting Gorkha the last time in the Mustang Max, he vomited several times during the journey because of the odor emanating from the brakes, said the source. He returned Kathmandu in a chopper that time.
According to Bhattarai´s personal secretary Fadindra Devkota, the PM has been using other vehicles for long journeys as the Mustang is slow and difficult to ply along the narrow and winding hilly roads. The prime minister will continue to ride Mustang Max inside the valley, Devkota said.
