CHENGDU (CHINA), Sept 29: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is presently on an official visit to China since September 23, has arrived in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province. The Prime Minister today went to the city from Lhasa in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.
Upon his arrival at Chengdu, the Prime Minister was welcomed by Vice Governor of Sichuan Province Yang Xingping and others.
Chinese leader meets PM Dahal in Chengdu
In Chengdu, the Prime Minister is scheduled to observe the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. He is slated to hold a bilateral meeting with Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the CPC Sichuan provincial committee this evening. Secretary Wang in the evening is hosting a dinner reception in honor of the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Dahal, who reached Lhasa on Wednesday from Chongqing of China, visited Mount Kailash and Mansarovar on Thursday. He held various bilateral talks with Chinese officials while staying in Lhasa. Thereafter, he on Wednesday visited the ancient Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple in Lhasa. The head of the government and his delegates will return home on Saturday from Chengdu.
His entourage include his daughter Ganga Dahal, Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Prakash Saud, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Prakash Jwala, his chief political advisor Haribol Gajurel, national security advisor Shankar Das Bairagi, Chief Secretary Dr Baikuntha Aryal and secretaries of various ministries among others.
