Pun said the PLA has already initiated the process of fresh recruitment, adding fuel to the already fragile peace process. The 2006 peace accord and successive agreement on arms and armies have prohibited both the armies from any recruitment.
"If the NA doesn´t comply with the agreement, we will be compelled to call for applications to fill the vacant posts," said Pun, urging the NA to stop its recruitment drive. However, NA has said it is close to completing the recruitment process that was initiated in November 2008.
