KATHMANDU, March 14: Sagarmatha Cement Dhangadhi Premier League (DPL), the first city-based auction cricket tournament of Nepal scheduled for March 18 to April 1 in Dhangadhi, has been postponed for 22 days.
Issuing the press statement on Tuesday, Subash Shahi, the president of Dhangadhi Cricket Academy (DCA), the organizer, informed that the tournament has been rescheduled for April 9 to 22. The organizer was forced to reschedule the tournament after Nepal’s participation in the ACC Emerging Teams Cup 2017 in Bangladesh was confirmed lately.

The tournament scheduled from March 25 to April 3 in Bangladesh coincides with the fixture of the DPL. National players associated with DPL teams will be in international duty, prompting the organizers to postpone the tournament. Captains of all six participating teams are the members of the national squad.
National teams of Nepal, Hong Kong and Afghanistan alongside U-23 teams from four Test-playing nations -host Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan - will take part in the tournament.
