KATHMANDU, Sept 13: Piaggio has introduced its latest three-wheeler Ape City Deluxe in the Nepali market. The new model was launched amid a ceremony held in Birgunj on Wednesday.
Issuing a statement, Vivek Automobiles Pvt Ltd, the authorized dealer of Piaggio in Nepal, said that the new three-wheeler comes with various features including new engine, higher mileage, better gradeability, luxurious, spacious and attractive looks.

Sudhanshu Agrawal, Vice President- International Business at Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, Export Manager Deepak Kumar, Vijay Mahato, Head of Operation Piaggio Vehicles, and Bed Prakash Sharma, General Manager of Dugar Brothers and Sons, among others, were present in the launching ceremony.
According to the statement, the company also delivered Ape City Deluxe to over 100 clients on the same day.
Speaking at a press meet in the capital on Thursday, Piaggio’s Agrawal said that they have launched the new Ape City Deluxe on the eve of festive seasons in Nepal. “With this new product, people will have more confidence on the Piaggio product and we will make better inroads in the market as well,” he said, adding that three-wheelers are considered as effective vehicles in various parts of the country, particularly outside Kathmandu valley, for the transportation.
The company has said that it plans to launch e-auto in India and Nepal by the end of this year.
