Phalano Luga Creativity on T-shirts

KATHMANDU, June 5: Tired of searching for unique prints on T-shirts? Then here is good news for you. Phalano Luga - a new clothing brand - is soon bringing 100% cotton T-shirts with creative prints and texts for domestic as well as international market.



“I have always thought of promoting my creativity at international level. As my cartoons are more relevant to Nepali culture, I decided to start a clothing brand, which reflects my creativity, with the objective of exporting in the international market,” Rajesh KC, proprietor of Phalano Luga, said.[break]



KC, who is also a popular cartoonist, said he will introduce the brand in the Nepali market within two weeks. He plans to start export of his products within 1 to 2 years.

Phalano Luga will initially have two outlets - one in Civil Trade Center, Sundhara and another in Lalitpur. While the outlet at Civil Trade Center will throw open its doors within two weeks, the outlet in Lalitpur will come into operation after two months. Phalano Luga has plans to open outlets in Itahari, Butwal and Pokhara within a year. It intends to open stores in India, Dubai and Malaysia within a year or two.



Though the company is new, it has already made uniform for staffers of Sajha Yatayat. The brand not only offers readymade printed T-shirts, it also allows you to print your creativity on T-shirts of your choice. Besides, the other important thing that makes Phalano Luga stand out from the rest is the eye-catching one-liner social messages and creative sketches made by KC that helps promote tourist destinations of Nepal.



Phalano Luga has imported ‘Direct to Garment’ (DTG), a digital printing machine, that prints T-shirts very quickly. It has also installed bulk printing technology at its factory. The company established with an initial investment of Rs 15 million uses eco-friendly ink to print T-shirts.



The company also offers organic T-shirts to the customers. “For organic T-shirts, I have imported special material from India which is made from organic cotton,” said KC.



Phalano Luga will offer T-shirts in variety of styles like Polo T-shirt, round neck, V neck with and without prints. The price of these T-shirts starts from Rs 700 for kids and ranges from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 for men and women depending on size and prints.



According to KC, Phalano Luga will also offer Phalano book, mugs, frame, pen, calendar and badges, among others, with the owner’s creativity, in the near future.
