KATHMANDU, July 29: Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa on Monday has said that peace and security are crucial for the prosperity of Nepal.
Speaking at a meeting held to evaluate the annual progress of the ministry in the last fiscal year, Minister Thapa highlighted the need for earmarking a sufficient budget for ensuring peace and security in the country.
On the occasion, Minister Thapa described the overall performance of the ministry in the previous fiscal year as satisfactory saying that the ministry needs to correct its existing flaws in the days to come to achieve further success in the next fiscal year.
He also directed the departments under the ministry to formulate plans and programs taking into account the sustainable development goal, the 15th periodic plan and the 25-year development strategy .
