KATHMANDU, March 12: Patan Multiple Campus has won the BSC-CSIT Cup T20 Cricket Tournament with a seven-wicket win over Academia in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
In the final match played at the Mulpani Cricket Ground, Academia won the toss, opted to bat first, and presented a target of 98 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, Patan chased the target hitting 100 runs in 14.4 overs losing just three wickets.
With the win, Patan has been rewarded with Rs 60,000, while Academia received Rs 40,000.

Earlier, Madhusudan Khanal scored the highest 22 runs for the team, while Bipin Maharjan made 17.
Patan’s Nirmal Luitel and Rupesh Budathoki picked off two wickets each for the team conceding eight and 25 runs respectively.
In reply, Patan’s Sunil Khadka, who was named the man of the match, scored 24 runs, while Himal Gyawali hit the highest 25 for the team.
Academia’s Chintamanu Bishwakarma took two wickets, while Bhuwan Shahi pocketed one.
Patan’s Chakra Timalsina was adjudged the player of the series as he picked up 17 wickets in seven matches, while Bishwakarma, who took 13 wickets in four matches, was named the best bowler. Likewise, Himalayan College of Engineering’s Kiran Bista became the best batsman.
The tournament, which kicked off from February 29, saw a participation of 13 teams under the league cum knockout format.
