The baby was born five days ago.

According to Anita Dhital, newborn’s grandmother, the baby died due to excessive doze of antibiotics administered by the doctors.

“The newborn had sustained a injury to its head while being pulled out with the help of a vacuum,” she said, claiming the baby which was born on last Monday died due to negligence on the part of the nurses.

According to Ashish Shrestha, the father of the newborn, the antibiotics was administered to the baby 17 hours after it was born.

Prama Shrestha, the mother of the baby, had been visiting Patan Hospital for follow-up tests until she gave birth to the twin.

Prama had delivered twin babies on January 30. The dispute between the kin of the deceased and the hospital administration erupted after the first of the twin babies died last night.
