Parliamentary probe committee holding discussion with CCTV experts today

KATHMANDU, July 19: The Parliamentary Special Investigation Committee formed earlier to investigate alleged involvement of ‘unauthorized persons’ in revising tax rates in the budget prepared by former Finance Minister Janardan Sharma is holding its meeting on Tuesday as well. The meeting is scheduled to hold discussions with experts related to CCTV.

KATHMANDU, July 19: The Parliamentary Special Investigation Committee formed earlier to investigate alleged involvement of ‘unauthorized persons’ in revising tax rates in the budget prepared by former Finance Minister Janardan Sharma is holding its meeting on Tuesday as well. The meeting is scheduled to hold discussions with experts related to CCTV.


The parliamentary inquiry committee was formed earlier to investigate former Finance Minister Sharma, who faces allegations that he allowed outsiders to revise tax rates in the budget.

The parliamentary panel has a total of 11 members. Sharma resigned as Finance Minister after the main opposition party stepped up pressure against him.
