Parliamentary delegation off to New York

KATHMANDU, July 9: A parliamentary team today left for New York, the USA, to participate in a high-level political forum to be held there.

KATHMANDU, July 9: A parliamentary team today left for New York, the USA, to participate in a high-level political forum to be held there.


The four-member delegation led by Prakash Panth, chairman of the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee, National Assembly, will be attending a meeting of the High Level Forum on Sustainable Development. The meeting aims to determine the agenda for the upcoming Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit 2023. The Summit will be held in the UN Headquarters on September 18-19.

CPN-UML Whip Mahesh Kumar Bartaula, CPN (Maoist Center) lawmaker Madhav Sapkota and Parliament Secretariat Secretary Dr Rojnath Pandey are in the delegation. The Forum's discussions will be held from July 9-19.
