Parliamentary committee submits study report

KATHMANDU, Dec 6: The Development Committee of the Legislature-Parliament has submitted its study report on the viability of Pokhara-Beni-Jomsom roadway linking to Korala border point, to Speaker Onsari Gharti.

Receiving the report, Speaker Gharti hoped that the report would be helpful to take proper decision on related development activity based on country and people’s views.The government has already decided to open various seven border points with China.

Earlier, the Development Committee had conducted a monitoring of the Galchhi-Rasuwagadhi-Kyirong route and submitted the report.

Committee Chairman Rabindra Adhikari informed that if the works were initiated immediately, the roadway from Pokhara-Beni-Jomsom linking to Korala border point could be completed in three months. Tourism could be boosted if the existing track was upgraded, he added. RSS
