Parliamentary committee permits to run asphalt plant

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: The Environment Protection Committee under the Legislature-Parliament has decided to permit the operation of the asphalt plant by Adarsha Construction Company.

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: The Environment Protection Committee under the Legislature-Parliament has decided to permit the operation of the asphalt plant by Adarsha Construction Company.


The committee has decided to allow the resumption of its services after making necessary legal policies regarding to it.

The plant is used to mix up the pebbles and tar while blacktopping the roads. The committee meeting today took this decision saying that the company was operating the plant following the environmental standards.


The committee President Janakraj Chaudhary shared that the cases regarding the company is undecided in the court and opined for operating such plants under the Industry Policy.


Lawmaker Rajaram Syangtan had submitted the field study report about the asphalt plant mentioning there was no logic to stop the production. RSS
