“Since the newly introduced tank is made using the latest technology, it will surely replace conventional water tanks that are currently in use in the country,” said Pradeep Kumar Shrestha, managing director of the Group, which is involved in international trade, construction and hydropower projects, and financial, education and health sectors.

The tank is ideal for storing water, milk and other beverages. The company has also assured that the taste of water stored in the tank would not change even after a long time.

Since the tank is made of stainless steel, it will not rust and thus prevent formation of toxic chemicals, the company said, adding, the tank is also durable and leak-proof, and will last for a long time. In addition, the tank is easy to install, does not allow growth of plant, bacteria, algae and molds, is recyclable and has high resale value, said the company.

Other features of the tank include: outlet nipple with a curved bottom, which allows cleaning with a single flush, secured and lockable top cover guards, lifelong warranty against manufacturing defects and resistance to all weather conditions, according to Ujwal Shrestha, director of the company.

Shrestha said that the tank is made of 304 grade steel which contains 18 percent chromium and eight percent nickel. He also said that the body of the tank is insulated with Bright Annealed mirror-finish polish, which reflects sunlight and keeps water cool. This feature makes the tank perfect for places where mercury levels usually soar.

The company is currently manufacturing the tanks at a plant in Thankot. The factory has production capacity of 70 tanks per day. Pradeep said that the company will increase the production capacity based on demand and is all set to establish factories in east and central Nepal.

According to the company, the newly launched tanks are available in four different sizes of 500 liters, 1,000 liters, 1,500 liters and 2,000 liters. The company has fixed the price of 500-liter tanks at Rs 14,500, 1,000-liter tanks at Rs 19,000 and 1,500-liter tanks and 2,000-liter tanks at Rs 27,000 and Rs 36,000 respectively.
