QUETTA, July 25: An earlier report said at least one person had been killed and three injured during an altercation among PTI supporters, in which gunfire was exchanged.
Reports are that at least 31 people have died and about 35 others injured following an explosion that occurred near a police mobile near the eastern bypass in Quetta, Balochistan province, according to The Guardian and Geo News. Among the dead, are reportedly police officers and at least one minor.
Deputy Inspector General Abdul Razzaq Cheema said the injured persons were taken to the Civil Hospital. A security personnel has confirmed the attack and casualties, warning that the number of fatalities could increase.
The Islamic State's Amaq news agency has claimed responsibility for the explosion in Quetta.
Candidates and other officials have condemned the attacks and expressed disappointment at the loss of lives.

Police are also investigating a grenade attack in Larkana.
