KATHMANDU, April 13: An investigation committee set up by the Ministry of Home Affairs arrested Rajendra Shakya, owner of R.K Jewelers over his alleged involvement to smuggle 33 kilogram of gold almost two months ago.

Likewise, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has also grounded SSP Dibesh Lohani, DSP Prajit KC and sub inspector Bal Krishna Sanjel for their involvement in gold smuggling as well as the murder of Sonam Shakya.


Likewise, the investigation committee has already arrested four permanent staffers of national flight carrier, Nepal Airlines and eight employees of Thai Airways for investigation. The Ministry of Home Affairs had formed the investigation committee under Ishwor Pokhrel, joint secretary at the Ministry.
