CHITWAN, March 4: Keta Keti Ghar Nepal, an organization working for the welfare of underprivileged children in Sauraha, has agreed to take in three helpless orphans from Surkhet. The organization had extended helping hands after reading the news about the orphans´ plight in Republica daily newspaper on February 25.

According to Purna Rijal, treasurer of the organization, the children will receive shelter, food and free education until they pass the School Leaving Certificate Level examinations. “If they perform well in their studies, we might even extend our assistance for their higher studies as well,” said Rijal.[break]

Eldest sister Laxmi Wali, 12, of Ramghat VDC-2 was left alone to support her brothers Bishnu, Krishna and Suraj after the death of their parents. Laxmi had been feeding her brothers by working as a housemaid.

Their mother had passed away three years ago and their father had died last year.
