Operation of Biratnagar-Lukla mountain flight soon: CM Karki

SOLUKHUMBU, Feb 29: Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Kedar Karki, has said mountain flights will soon be operated from Biratnagar.

SOLUKHUMBU, Feb 29: Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Kedar Karki, has said mountain flights will soon be operated from Biratnagar. 


CM Karki said that Biratnagar-Lukla mountain flight would be operated by making Sagarmatha region as its base. 


He mentioned a plan to begin mountain flights from Biratnagar would be implemented soon for further promoting tourism keeping the Everest region in priority.

"Although the Khumbu area is close to the federal capital, it is alienated from the province. We are serious about resolving it. We are preparing to operate mountain flights from Biratnagar within a few months," said CM Karki. 


A team comprising CM Karki is going to the Sagarmatha region to observe 'Sagarmatha Day' on May 29 for the tourism development of Khumbu.  


The provincial government was always ready to promote the Sagarmatha region, he said.
