NAWALPARASI, Oct 12: Nepali Congress General Secretary Dr Shashank Koirala has claimed to make his party the number one in the next elections, after uniting the party.
Speaking at a programme organized here to mark the festivals of Dashain, Tihar and Chhath, he said the party should not move ahead with solidarity, by doing away with factions. “BP’s ideals are still relevant and the party should be taken ahead based on it,” he said, while adding that it was only BP thought that could make the party one.

Congress lost in the elections last year due to its own reasons, the GS said while sharing that the cadres will now be evaluated based on their performance in the organization.
Congress Spokesperson Biswa Prakash Sharma said there was no option than to come up with a concrete working policy to consolidate the party.
