In this edition of the event, organizers are using the technology at best to ease the movement of the crowd and to help the visitors find out the exact stall they are looking for.[break]
In a bid to ensure that visitors do not have to wait in long queues to get tickets, CAN has introduced online ticket booking system for the event. People can buy tickets through www.caninfotech.org.np and www.can.org.np. According to CAN, they have arranged four different tickets counters so that visitors will not have to wait in long queue.
CAN President Binod Dhakal said the mobile app nLocate would help visitors to locate the position of stalls. Likewise, visitors can also send SMS to 5001 to find out the location of a stall and products it is selling.
Dhakal said they have also recruited more volunteers this year. The organizers said they were working in close coordination with Nepal Police and Traffic Police to make the event absolutely trouble-free.
Organizers are targeting footfall of around 500,000 visitors during the six-day event being held at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu.
