One dies, four injured when house catches fire in capital

KATHMANDU, April 5: One person died while four others were injured when a house caught fire at Lazimpat in the capital on Thursday night.

KATHMANDU, April 5: One person died while four others were injured when a house caught fire at Lazimpat in the capital on Thursday night.


The incident occurred when the three-story house belonging to Dharma Maharjan caught fire, DSP Hobindra Bogati at the Metropolitan Police Teku told Republica Online.

The deceased has been identified as Bhesh Bahadur Thapa of Okhaldhunga who had been living in a rented room at Maharjan's house.


Thapa, who was seriously injured in the fire incident, breathed his last on the way when he was being rushed to Maharajgunj-based Teaching Hospital. Of the injured, two have been undergoing treatment in the hospital and two have been discharged.


The police have launched the probe into the fire incident.
