DANG, Dec 26: One person was killed and two others sustained injuries in an auto accident in Dang on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at 1:50 pm when an auto (Ra 1 Ha 5904), traveling from Bhaisahwa to Koilabas, lost control and crashed on the Gadhwa Koilabas road section in Gadhawa Rural Municipality-5.
‘Private transport is not a luxury sector’
Tularam BK, 50, a resident of Bhaisahwa, Rajpur Rural Municipality-3, succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the Rapti Institute of Health Sciences. He was declared dead at 3:30 pm, according to Ishwar Thapa, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Dang.
Basanti BK, of around 40 years, a resident of the same area, is receiving treatment at Lamahi Hospital. Prem Chandra Yadav, 36, from Rajpur-4, is being treated at the Rapti Health Sciences Institute in Ghorahi.
Fourty-year-old auto driver Madan BK, a resident of Rajpur Rural Municipality-3, Bhaisahwa, is in police custody. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
