KATHMANDU, August 24: Chairman of the main opposition party CPN-UML, KP Sharma Oli met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Wednesday morning and objected to the fact that the government is working unilaterally without any consultation with the main opposition party.

Chairman Oli reached Baluwatar with Vice Chairmen Subas Nemwang and Bishnu Prasad Paudel to meet Prime Minister Deuba on Wednesday morning.

The meeting lasted for almost two hours. On the way out, UML Vice Chaiman Nemwang informed Prime Minister Deuba that he objected to the government unilaterally introducing bills.

"We were not consulted when the government introduced the Enforced Disappearances Enquiry, Truth and Reconciliation Commission Bill, Citizenship Bill etc. We objected to this issue," said Nemwang.

According to Nemwang, Oli had suggested to Prime Minister Deuba not to engage in politics of prohibition even after forming an alliance. "The president has said that we should compete cleanly, should not form unholy alliances, and avoid the politics of prohibition," he said.

Oli also drew Prime Minister Deuba's attention to the rising inflation.
