NTB and police rescue a tourist

KATHMANDU, Jan 28: The Nepal Tourism Board and the Tourist Police team jointly rescued South African tourist Shaun Swilling from diabetic collapse at Belhiya near Bhairawa. Swilling was on the way to neighboring India last week.



He was immediately rushed to the Universal College of Medical Sciences Hospital for treatment. Police and board staff looked after him throughout his stay at the hospital, as well as paying his medical bills.



A press release issued by the board stated the man was handed over to his friend in Rishikesh (India), after the treatment.



“Nepalese hospitality saved my life,” the board statement quoted the rescued guest as saying.
