NT to provide loan service

KATHMANDU, March 28: Nepal Telecom (NT), a service provider of cellular mobile phones in Nepal, has said that it will provide loan service to its customers on Tuesday.



Issuing a press statement today, the NT said that the service will be started within the next five months.


To provide the service, the NT has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hemant Trade Centre Pvt Ltd, a local agent of Tiaxa of Hong Kong.

The MoU was signed by Kamini Raj Bhandari, managing director of the NT and Hemanta Agarwal, director at Hemanta Trade Centre Pvt Ltd for their respective companies.“The GSM and CDMA customers SIM will be automatically topped up with loan amount if the balance gets nil while making calls.


The airtime credit service will help the customers continue with the talk without any interruption. The company will not charge any additional amount for using the service.


The company will deduct the loan amount customers have used after they recharge their phone,” the NT said in the statement.
