According to leaders of the NSU, the student wing of the Nepali Congress, they are yet to settle some disputes within the organization as two or more candidates at several colleges have filed candidacy for the same post of FSU president.
NSU’s Krishna Jaishi and Binaya Ram Bhatta filed their candidacy for president at Tri-Chandra College, the oldest in the country and an NSU stronghold since many years.
Harish Chandra Bhandari, Shuva Ram Basnet and Prakas Maharajan of NSU filed their nominations at Shankardev Campus.
Shiva Bohara, Mahesh Nepali and Bipin Adhikari have filed at Mahendra Ratna Campus Tahachal, Kumar Basnet and Ram Bahadur Thapa at Patan Multiple Campus, Manoj Katuwal, Ravina Basnet and Ramhari Koirala at Minbhawan Campus, and Jayaram Dahal and Shankar Tiwari at Ratna Rajya Campus for the post of FSU president, according to Durendra Rai, NSU central member.
Likhitendra Shrestha is the sole candidate from NSU for the post of president at Public Youth Campus.
Kiran Baral is among five candidates filing at Prithivi Narayan Campus, Pokhara and four candidates including Baikuntha Shribastav have filed at Thakurram Multiple Campus, Birgunj, according to Rai. Similarly Chhotu Mishra and Ram Chandra Yadav have filed their nominations at Rajbiraj Campus.
Nominations from NSU at Bishwabhasha Campus, Nepal Law Campus, Balmiki Campus, Baneshwar Campus, Central Campus Kirtipur, Pashupati Campus, Gramin Adarsha Campus, Manohara Campus, Lubhu Campus are yet to be filed, according to him.
