NPL: Chitwan Rhinos set 165-run target for undefeated Sudurpaschim Royals

KATHMANDU, Dec 8: Chitwan Rhinos have set a target of 165 runs against Sudurpaschim Royals in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) match.


Chitwan Rhinos, who won the toss and chose to bat first at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, scored 164 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Hassan Eisakhil played a significant innings, scoring 65 runs in just 52 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 6 fours.

Similarly, Ravi Bopara was caught out for 36 runs off 18 balls, hitting two sixes and fours each. Captain Kushal Malla was bowled for 13 runs while Bipin Rawal scored 17 runs.


On behalf of Sudurpaschim Royals, Scott Kuggeleijn took 2 wickets and Dipendra Singh Airee, Brandon McMullen and Saif Zaib claimed one wicket each.


Sudurpaschim remain undefeated in the ongoing NPL with 6 points, while Chitwan Rhinos have 4 points from 3 matches. If Sudurpaschim Royals secure victory in Sunday’s match, they will climb to the top position with 8 points. Janakpur Bolts, another undefeated team, is currently in the top position with 8 points.
