PM visits Udayapur blast victims


Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba had been at the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) today to call on the victims of the Uadaypur bomb blast took place Wednesday. The scene of Meera Katuwal who lost her leg in the blast crying grabbing hand of Prime Minister Deuba made the people there emotional. In his words of consolation to Katuwal, the Prime Minister said," I am here, so don't worry, all will be fine soon."

Respect media’s right to political add: Nepal Media Society to govt

 

Nepal Media Society, the umbrella organization of private publications and Television 

Broadcasters Nepal (TBN), has urged the government to respect the media’s right to the advertisement on Thursday. “We would like to urge all the bodies concerned not to question the media’s right to an advertisement,” the Society said in a statement issued today, adding, “The advertisement is not only the lifeline of the media but also its fundamental right guaranteed by the constitution.”


Training camp for youth cricket team begins


The second session of the closed training camp of the Nepali youth cricket team for the ACC U-16 Championship Eastern Region to be held in Thailand from December 11 started on Wednesday. A selection committee of ACC representatives led by Nepal U-19 cricket team’s head coach and former national team captain Binod Das and coaches Jung Bahadur Thapa and Dipendra Chaudhary shortlisted the 22 players for the second session camps. 


North Korea releases photos apparently showing latest missile test


North Korea released dozens of photos on Thursday of the Hwasong-15, showing a new intercontinental ballistic missile test. Photo claims can reach any target in the continent of United States. The photo dump, published in the paper and online editions of the ruling party’s official daily, is a goldmine for rocket experts trying to parse reality from bluster.
