KATHMANDU, June 10 : We all have secrets which we wished never emerged from the dark pits of the mind. Even sharing with the person closest to your heart is out of the question. Despite its significance or relevance onto someone else’s life’ we’d rather suppress it. The number of incidents and instances that we’d not speak about is never-ending. However, there are also some confessions which are best if stayed apathetic to.

Likewise, emotional bonds strengthen when people are in a relationship. Communication and trust are at their highest levels. If one asks if there are spaces for secrets in a relationship, we tend to quickly respond ‘no’.

It applies to each one of us; we believe the epitome of a true relationship is being able to share every bit of information. Nonetheless, there always are things that we think aren’t worth sharing. The situation can get a little bad when we presume those details won’t bother our partner. There are some people who look for smallest of the details. The perception of information flow depends on the person we have fallen for, and our open-mindedness towards our partner.

To tell or not to tell is always an option. Relationships are always rocky in the beginning, so why would we want to bare our heart to someone who may not be around for long. The trust dilemma is always there; keeping some secrets is in everyone’s best interest. It’s best to reveal a little personal information at a time.

Despite the closeness with our partners, there are topics that we wish to avoid and hope for it to never be brought up. However, our hearts and the desire to reveal every bit of information, big or small change depending on the situation, value, most importantly the possible consequences.
