KATHMANDU, July 31: Nepali Congress (NC) President Bimalendra Nidhi, General Secretary Shashank Koirala and former general secretary Prakash Man Singh have held a meeting on Saturday at the residence of Singh in Chaksibari.
According to Singh’s Personal Secretary UP Lamichhane, the meeting was focused on holding discussions on the upcoming 14th general convention of the party and other concurrent political issues in the country. “The meeting was primarily focused on national politics and the party’s 14th general convention,” he said.
The three leaders, who are widely seen as the contenders for the post of party president in the upcoming general convention, had earlier held meetings at the residence of Nidhi and Koirala. Sources said they have been holding discussions on the possible alliances they could form in the 14th general convention to elect new party leadership.
