KATHMANDU, Feb 3: Nepal Investment Bank Ltd (NIBL) has been certified with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Version 3.1 in a view to facilitate added security for cardholders, according to a statement issued on Wednesday.
PCI DSS is the highest level of card data security standard worldwide to enhance safety and security of card data environment of all branded cards.

"Card transactions are vulnerable to various security threats that will be significantly mitigated through this security standard -- PCI DSS," it said, adding that safety of NIBL card holders has now been even more enhanced, reliable and secured with certification of the latest PCI DSS version.
The bank recently launched EMV Chip-based cards that provides enhanced safety and has been actively providing the latest and advanced facilities for the safety and security of its cardholders.
