NHRC urges demonstrators to make protest peaceful

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has urged the agitating groups to make the protest peaceful, dignified and restrained.



Issuing a press note, NHRC Spokesperson Dr Tikaram Pokharel said time has come to learn lessons from the past incidents, and peaceful efforts are required to prevent further human loss and physical damages.

The human rights body further informed that it formed an investigation team under the convenorship of NHRC Member Lily Thapa to probe into the violation of human rights during the demonstration.
